Website Savings, Sales, and Special Offers
Using our online shopping cart system saves us time and ensures order accuracy. As a result we are often able to offer special savings or discounts. The savings and discounts listed on this web-site, unless otherwise stated, are only valid for orders completed through our online shopping cart. Please note: If you prefer to order by phone, by mail, or desire to pick your order up at our retail store; you must originate your order through our online cart in order to take advantage of online savings and discounts. Phone, mail order, and will-call pickup customers should complete their order by selecting “Purchase Order” at checkout for payment type; this reserves your items and special pricing while we await your payment. Finalize the sale by phoning in your credit card (or mailing in your payment) – in this way you will still take advantage of special offers listed on this site! To reserve your on-line pricing and product for pickup at our retail store select “In-Store Pickup” for your delivery method (this will eliminate delivery and handling fees from your order total).

Coupon terms of use:

  • Coupons and other special offers are only valid for use on non-sale items.
  • Some coupons may not be combined with other special offers (and coupons).
  • All coupons must be applied prior to completing checkout in order for the savings to be applied to your order.

U.S. Payment Methods
Visa and MasterCard. Our secure on-line shopping cart allows you to place orders and fund them directly with your Visa, Master Card, Discover, or American Express.

PayPal. For your convenience we also accept payments funded with your PayPal.Com account. PayPal allows greater flexibiltiy in payment options. Fund your order with your PayPal balance, bank account, or credit card of choice.

Although we accept credit cards, we only accept credit cards that support AVS (Address Verification Service). The Address Verification System (AVS) is a system used to verify the identity of the person claiming to own the credit card. The system will check the billing address of the credit card provided by the user with the address on file at the credit card company. At present, only a few countries support AVS on Visa and MasterCard, notably the USA, Canada and the United Kingdom. American Express does not support AVS in other countries than the USA. Our order system will decline credit cards that do not support Address Verification Service.

Orders by Phone
We are happy to accept your order over the phone. Please realize that our phone resources are limited and priority is given to our retail and website customers. Chances are very good that you’ll be directed to voice mail… if it’s important enough to call then please leave a message for us to return your call.

Orders by Mail (Check or Money Order)
In order to retain the web store special offers you must complete your order online prior to sending payment through the mail.

  3. Complete payment for your order mail using our contact address.

Handling Fee (updated 07/27/2021)
All orders that total less than $5.00 in shippable merchandise will be subject to a $0.95 handling fee.  This small fee helps cover our costs associated with online-processing, packaging and shipping of small orders.  This fee does not apply if your order totals $5.00 USD or more.

Sales Tax
All orders shipped within the state of Colorado are subject to a combined state, county, and RTA sales tax of 4.9%.

Shipping Fees
Domestic Retail Customers:  Our “Standard Ground” method features a variable base shipping rate of $5.90 this rate increases depending on the order bulk or weight. With “Standard Ground” delivery we process and ship your items via the best rate offered by either FedEx Ground/Home or USPS First/Parcel/Priority. Orders shipped via “Standard Ground” method typically arrive within 5-7 business days. If you require a specific carrier for delivery to your address (for instance FedEx cannot deliver to your PO box, please specify your desired carrier and we will do our best to meet that requirement).

Stevens AeroModel cannot currently offer overnight or next day delivery. Stevens AeroModel will make every attempt to ensure that your order ships fast, usually, within 1-2 business days of receipt (applies to domestic orders).

International Customers:  Due to the additional time required for completion of customs paperwork, international orders may take up to 3 business days to process and ship. Our shopping cart will attempt to estimate your shipping and processing based upon the method you select. For a delivery estimate please assembly your order using our shopping cart then proceed to checkout and complete your shipping details to see the estimate of delivery fees.

Please note that our staff will be unable to provide estimates of shipping via e-mail as shipping charges are calculated by the shopping cart based upon order weight and shipping destination.
We ship FOB origin (Colorado Springs, CO), indicating that once the product is loaded on the truck, the recipient now has title to the product, and is responsible for shipping charges and any freight claims should damage occur. Should any freight damages occur, you must note it on the bill of lading and file a claim with the freight company. Customs duties and taxes: International orders may be subject to import taxes, Customs duties and fees which are collected once a shipment reaches your country. Additional charges for Customs clearance must be paid by the recipient; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary from country to country; it is your responsibility to know the laws and regulations that apply to you or you should contact your local Customs office for further information. When Customs clearance procedures are required, it can cause delays beyond our original delivery estimates. Stevens AeroModel will not be responsible for shortages or damages to packages opened by Customs. International orders are clearly declared as “Toy Model Airplane Parts” and will have the EXACT value indicated on the customs forms. All International orders are shipped via USPS Express Mail International or Priority Mail International unless special arrangements have been made for shipment via your carrier. We comply with all US Customs regulations and WILL NOT falsify customs documents -please do not ask us to do so. Including USPS Priority and Express delivery methods please allow a minimum of 30 days transit time for all international shipments to clear customs and reach their foreign destination. USPS will not initiate a search for foreign shipments until 30 days have elapsed.

Shipping Insurance
All orders are insured for up to $100.00 loss. Additional insurance is optional and must be purchased prior to checkout. If you do not purchase additional insurance coverage for your package you assume all liabilty for any loss greater than $100.00. Regardless of the amount of additional insurance you purchase you will only be reimbursed for the lesser of either your insured value or order total including shipping. Stevens AeroModel will not be able to assist you in recovering lost, damaged, or stolen merchandise if you did not elect to purchase adequate shipping insurance for your order.

Shipping Damage
Orders are carefully packed to avoid damage. Please inspect your orders upon arrival and notify us within 48 hours of receipt of any damaged or missing items. Order Tracking Delivery Confirmation is included with your shipping charges and will alert you to only the delivery status of your order.

Tracking (domestic and international) and Lost In Transit
All packages shipped through both USPS and UPS are supplied with a tracking number. Domestic and International orders are trackable via USPS.com, or UPS.com based on the carrier you selected at checkout.

For international shipments sent by USPS, final delivery of your parcel will be made by your local postal agency, once USPS.com tracking shows that your item has left the US, you’ll need to contact your local postal agency, with the same tracking number, to locate the package within your local postal system and inquire about any duties that may be assessed by your country.  If you suspect that a package has gone missing in transit, rest assured that we are committed to seeing that you receive your order.  Please contact your local postal agency with the tracking number to ensure that the package is not being held in your local customs office, awaiting payment of duties or taxes.  It is quite common for USPS international shipments to be delayed or appear lost in the system (lack of movement indicated in the tracking system), these unfortunate issues typically resolve themselves within a few days, we ask for your patience in awaiting delivery of your international shipment. We committed, to see that final delivery of your order is made, in the event your item is considered lost in transit we will reship or enter a claim for refund your order.  As an international customer placing an order on this site: You agree to allow a minimum of 30 days to elapse, from the date your order was shipped, before declaring an item lost in transit and requesting a replacement, or claim for refund.

Processing Damage Claims
Contact Stevens AeroModel within five (5) business days of receipt of damaged goods to request a claim form.  Fill out claim form completely, attach all paperwork and return to Stevens AeroModel within 60 days from date of shipment.  For LOST parcels you must wait 21 days for domestic and 45 days for International before starting the claim process. (Damage claims can be filed immediately.)

Kit Warranty
Stevens AeroModel guarantees all model kits to be free from defects in both material and workmanship at the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover any component parts damaged by use or modification. In no case shall Stevens AeroModel’s liability exceed the original cost of the purchased kit. Further, Stevens AeroModel reserves the right to change or modify this warranty without notice. In that Stevens AeroModel has no control over the final assembly or material used for final assembly, no liability shall be assumed nor accepted for any damage resulting from the use by the user of the final user-assembled product. By the act of using the user–assembled product, the user accepts all resulting liability. If the buyer is not prepared to accept the liability associated with the use of this product, the buyer is advised to return this kit immediately in new and unused condition to the place of purchase.

Defective Merchandise
Stevens AeroModel warrants only those goods manufactured by Stevens AeroModel. Please inspect all goods promptly upon receipt. Merchandise found to be defective may be exchange under the following conditions: Merchandise must be returned unused in its original package within 30 days of purchase. Please include a brief note describing the defect with your return.

All electrical items are warranted by their respective manufacturers and may not be returned to Stevens AeroModel. All of the electrical products which we stock are backed by reputable companies with excellent repair policies. These companies will repair/replace the item quicker than we could get a replacement sent to you. If your electrical item has failed in use, has been found to be defective, or you require warranty service or repair work; please contact the manufacture/distributor directly for support. Any unused merchandise returned for refund must be returned within 30 days of purchase. Stevens AeroModel will not accept returns on items after 30 days of purchase. Non-defective unused merchandise may be returned for refund or exchange under the following conditions: Merchandise must be returned new, unused, in the original sealed package, and in resalable condition. Any return with an incomplete, opened, or missing package will not be exchanged or refunded. Merchandise will be refunded or exchanged at our sole discretion. You must include a copy of your original invoice, along with a note describing the reason for return or exchange or we will not process your return. Returns for refund will be charge a restocking fee of 10% of the purchase price plus our original cost of shipping. Special order items may not be returned.

Lithium Polymer Batteries
Once you receive your battery or battery pack, please test it for low voltage condition before you charge or discharge the battery. There is absolutely no warranty for any Lithium Polymer battery or battery pack once you have placed it on a charger. The use of Lithium Polymer batteries in radio-controlled models is to be considered experimental, and discharge rates exceed the manufacturer’s specified maximum rates for these cells. Therefore, there is no warranty, expressed or implied, with respect to the capacity, life in cycles, storage, or discharge characteristics of cells in RC use, nor any other use nor aspect. Battery discharging, charging, electric motors, spinning propellers, and flying models all have the potential for serious injury to persons and damage to property. In purchasing and using these products, the user agrees to accept responsibility for all such risks, and not to hold the manufacturer, distributors, or retailers – (all including owners and employees) – responsible for any accident, injury to persons, or damage to property. Your use of this product means you accept our terms and you are fully responsible for any consequences.

Waiver and Release from Liability
I HEREBY ACKNOWLEDGE that I understand that flying model aircraft is an extremely dangerous activity and may result in injury and or death, even when practiced by a competent pilot using proper equipment. I further acknowledge that I am aware of and understand the types of hazards and dangers, both real and hidden, involved in flying model aircraft and accept any and all of the risks of possible injury or death. I understand that the model aircraft products manufactured and distributed by Stevens AeroModel have not been designed, manufactured or tested to meet any federal or state government air-worthiness standards or regulations. I understand that flying model aircraft is an extremely demanding activity requiring exceptional levels of attention, judgment, maturity, and self discipline, requiring me to make a conscious and continual commitment to my own safety and the safety of those around me. In particular, I understand that gusty winds or turbulence may interfere with even an expert pilot’s ability to safely control flying mode aircraft and thereby cause it to crash.

I HEREBY RELEASE, AGREE TO HOLD HARMLESS AND INDEMNIFY Stevens AeroModel, the manufacturer, the distributor of the model aircraft product and their agents and employees for any and all liability for any loss, damage, injury or death to myself or to any other person or property resulting from the use of these products and I further agree to waive, and not make any claim or file any suit based upon negligence, breach of warranty, contract or other legal theory. This release, agreement to hold harmless and to indemnify shall be binding upon me, my legal representatives, heirs, legatees and assigns as well as upon all who may be dependant upon or entitled to my services, consortium or support. Should I breach this agreement by filing any such suit or making any such claim, I will pay all attorney’s fees and costs of the released parties. I agree that this release shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Colorado. All disputes and matters whatsoever arising under, in connection with or incident to this agreement shall be litigated, if at all, in and before a court located in the State of Colorado, USA, to the exclusion of the courts of any other state or country. If any part, article, paragraph, sentence or clause of this agreement is not enforceable, the effected provisions shall be curtailed and limited only to the extent necessary to bring it within the requirements of the law and the remainder of the agreement shall continue in full force and effect.

I VOLUNTARILY ASSUME all risks, known and unknown, of any injuries, personal or financial or of wrongful death, however caused, even if caused in part or in whole by the action, inaction or negligence of any of the released parties named above to the fullest extent of the law. I represent that I am at least 18 years of age and I acknowledge that I have read this agreement, fully understand the potential dangers of engaging in flying model aircraft products from Stevens AeroModel and am fully aware of the legal consequences of accepting this agreement. I understand and agree that this document is legally binding and will preclude me from recovering monetary damage from the above listed entities and or individuals, whether specifically named or not, for personal injury, bodily injury, property damage, wrongful death or any other personal or financial injury sustained by me in connection with the use of any model aircraft product from Stevens AeroModel
