  1. lostcity

I have been fascinated by the Pietnepol series of planes for a long time. Finally built the Sky Scout and have 3 flights on it so far. All the laser cut parts fit perfectly. The fuselage went together without a hitch and the manual is probably one of the best I have seen. The wing assembly was a breeze, however I thought the cabane struts (that hold the wing) were a bit fiddly. The struts are laser cut and matched to the socket on the rib, but I positioned one strut to low in the fuselage socket, which made the wing not align well. I found covering the model much easier than other builds, as most of the panels are flat or have consistent curves. The engine detail is a plus and adds to the overall appearance of the plane. My finished Pietenpol got lots of compliments for the antique look. It does look great flying along…
