Mounting Instructions
Please bench-test your receiver prior to mounting it within your model. This receiver is a delicate item and requires thoughtful care in handling and installation. Many adhesive products such as Cyanoacrylate (CA) and most store-bought Silicones are corrosive and will damage the exposed electronics – NEVER use adhesive glue or silicone caulk to mount this board within your model. Instead, mount this receiver using only double-sided foam servo tape. Be careful when working around or making repairs on your model as glue and other foreign debris, that enter the servo drive train can potentially interfere with the fragile servo drive mechanisms.
The servo drive train is susceptible to binding, if the control surfaces attached to the servo are not absolutely free moving. Avoid use in applications that use creased foam control surfaces, CA hinges, and full-length double-taped hinges (tape hinges made by taping along both the top and bottom of the entire hinge line). Ensure near zero resistance to movement of your control surface and push-rod assembly prior to installation. Hinges that work best are: single tape hinges (taped along either a top or bottom surface but not both), sewn hinges, and hinges made with covering film. Binding of the servo drive train can also be caused, by the rough handling of the receiver, resulting in the improper fitting of the servo spur gear to the shaft. A gap of .004″ (the thickness of a sheet of copy paper) between the servo body and the spur gear or the drive train must be maintained or the servo drive may bind.
Binding instructions
With your transmitter off, power up the model. After 10 seconds with no signal received, the receiver will enter binding mode automatically. Binding mode is indicated by a change from a slow flash of the onboard LED light to a rapid blinking. Once bind mode has been entered, quickly power on your transmitter and perform the binding function according to the instructions that came with your transmitter. A successful bind will first cause the rapid blinking LED to return to a slow flash and then to a solid light – indicating that a signal from the transmitter is being received.
To prevent the receiver from entering bind mode, always power on your transmitter before powering on the model. Should you forget and power on the model first and the receiver enters the binding function, simply power down the model and perform the proper power on sequence of transmitter first, then receiver.
Releasing the throttle lock function
The receiver features a throttle lock for the brushed speed controller. When power is initially connected to the receiver, the output for the onboard ESC is locked. To unlock and start the throttle, move the throttle stick to the lowest position – the red LED on the receiver will flash once, indicating the onboard ESC is unlocked. If you experience difficulties with the receiver unlocking the throttle, this can indicate a problem with the receiver recognizing the lowest throttle stick position – this is often due to the throttle channel being reversed, or the throttle endpoint not being set low enough. See your transmitter owner manual for guidance on how to adjust the low throttle endpoint and/or reverse the throttle channel.

Swapping RX port assignments
- From the Function List select System Setup
- Confirm RF will be disabled YES
- Scroll to Channel Assign and select
- Scroll to ELEV and set to Rudder
- Scroll to RUDD and set to Elevator
- Exit back to main menu
For 3-Channel models only – mix rudder output to aileron
- Enter the Function List and scroll to Mixing – select Mixing
- Scroll to AIL > RUD
- Set both Right and Left values to 100%
- Set Switch from Inhibit to On
- Exit back to main menu

Please test your unit prior to installing/mounting it into your application. Units that show evidence of use or have been mounted with or contaminated by any adhesive glue or silicone are not eligible for replacement. No other warranty is offered or implied.
