The Helium MG2 is ‘woody’ model glider kit that has long been a favorite of builders and soaring enthusiasts! Thanks to our modern all laser-cut and interlocking design and excellent photo illustrated instructions, the Helium MG2 frames quickly – well suited to novice builders!  Soaring pilots will be delighted with the Helium MG2‘s strong climb performance and superb signaling in lift. The beginner friendly, modified S7055 airfoil keeps speed in check without sacrificing penetration – while a feathery flying weight of 22-26 oz. allows the Helium MG2 pilot to find and thermal in the lightest of lift conditions.  When it is time to come down – deploy the built in spoiler and nose the model toward earth, there’s no fear of overspending this airframe with the spoiler deployed.  Build It!

The HeliumMG represents our efforts to modernize the vintage motorized glider platform that gave many of
us our first taste of powered RC flight. The Helium 2MG is a piece o’cake to build thanks to thoughtful design and interlocking precision laser cut components. This stable, predictable, featherweight (22-26oz Flying
weight) glider sports a cavernous fuselage which makes it ideal for outfitting with various photography and FPV gear. Portability and flying site adaptability was a high priority when designing the HeliumMG as such
we’ve designed the HeliumMG with 3 piece wing and given the fuselage a removable horizontal stabilizer to allow it to pack down flat making it an ideal travel plane. Shock mounted landing gear protect the
underbelly of the HeliumMG from the ever-present rocks and scrub found at un-improved fields.

    This is another easy building SA kit. Helium reminded me of my first RC plane, a Gentle Lady. I opted for the spoiler and found it works really well; you may want to mix a little up elevator when you activate it. With the 3 piece wing, I also made the tail removable for easy transportation. Helium is a easy flying, thermal seeking glider that is a nice addition to my squadron. Perfect for a nice sunny day!
