1919 Avro 534 “Baby” UM

From: $55.00

Perhaps the sweetest little biplane ever manufactured by Avro.  The 1919 Avro 534 “Baby” was an aerial pioneers dream machine with wooden construction and rag covered (canvas) wings.  The Baby's first successful flight was in May of 1919.  The Avro 534 featured a water-cooled inline Green C.4 and spurred many design variants from water plane to clipped wing aerial derby racer and even an expedition model for use at the Antarctic.  We chose to model Bert Hinklers, beloved G-EACQ which is perhaps the most famous example of the Avro Baby setting many distance and derby records for it's time.

The Stevens AeroModel version of the Avro 534 has been designed using our pioneering laser cutting techniques and interlocking construction methods and is quick building and simple to fly.  This quick building kit includes a comprehensive hardware package, step-by-step photo illustrated instruction manual, and the best design know how in the kit manufacturing business.  Developed to accept popular micro electronics from ParkZone and E-Flite the Avro Baby is certain to delight!
