DO NOT - Disount tire from wooden hub as you might damage or puncture the tire.

DO NOT - Use on models heavier than specified by Trexler.

DO - Store in a cool, dry, dark place.

DO - Inflate tires prior to use using the Trexler inflator or large capacity syringe.

DO - Deflate tire after each flying session and leave the valve stems open.

DO - Adhere to the suggested carrying capacity of the tires when sizing to fit your model.

  • Trexler - #06G Heavy Wall - Balloon Wheels, Pair [TRX06-G]

    A StevensAero.com exclusive - Available now!

    Description:

Heavy wall Trexler size 6-G pneumatic latex balloon wheels.  Product Inflates 2-1/2 to 2-5/8 in. diameter, sold in pairs, and are suitable for electric park-flyers and 1/2 A class models over 8 oz. in flying weight.  Made right here in U.S.A. just like they always have been!

    Background:

Builders of 1/2A class models and larger electric park flyers now have a Trexler wheel better suited to thier models flying weight.

The problem - Traditional Trexler wheels model 1 thorugh 6 are composed of a thin walled latex and suitable to only the lightest indoor and rubber-powered models (under 10 oz).  Small plane enthusiasts, whose models weigh in over 8 oz, have been abusing these lighter tires with mixed results as the jump to the 8-G size wheel is often too big or too heavy for thier model or subject matter.

Solution - We have listened and have worked directly with Trexler to make a special purchase of the no. 6 size wheel manufactured with thicker materials to withstand the loading a proper 1/2A and electric parkflyer dish out.  These "new" (old timers will fondly recall these as the classic "white box" # 6)  No. 6-G heavy wall Trexlers are the fix for those thin walled tires now straining under the weight of your model airplane.

    Trexler do's and don'ts:

DO NOT -  Inflate using your mounth.  Moisture from your lungs/mouth will cause the valve stem to seal rendering the product useless.

DO NOT -  Leave inflated while in storage, again the valve stem may seal due to moisture within the tire.

DO NOT - Over-inflate tire with pump as tire will rupture or blister.  Trexler wheels (#1-#6) are best inflated using a glue syringe.
