The HeliumMG represents our efforts to modernize the vintage motorized
glider platform that gave many of us our first taste of powered RC
flight. The Helium 2MG is a piece o'cake to build thanks to thoughtful
design and interlocking precision laser cut components. This stable,
predictable, featherweight (22-26oz Flying weight) glider sports a
cavernous fuselage which makes it ideal for outfitting with various
photography and FPV gear. Portability and flying site adaptability was
a high priority when designing the HeliumMG as such we've designed the
HeliumMG with 3 peice wing and given the fuselage a removable
horizontal stabilizer to allow it to pack down flat making it an ideal
travel plane. Shock mounted landing gear protect the underbelly of the
HeliumMG from the ever-present rocks and scrub found at un-improved
2 Meter span Rudder, Elevator, Throttle control motor glider with optional Spoiler
Easy access to cavernous equipment and battery compartments
Simple interlocking precision laser cut components and rapid assembly with CA glue
Beginner friendly modified S7055 airfoil keeps speed in check without sacrificing penetration
Ultralight flying weight assures success even on light lift days.
Carbon fiber reinforced spar and flat center section build strong
and allow the Helium to carry FPV and aerial photography payloads with
Optional barn door spoiler allows for operation from small fields with confidence.
Optional rubber-band on wing (cannot be used with spoiler) allows the Helium to function as a primary motor glider trainer.
Easy to transport 3 piece wing assembles/disassembles in minutes at the field
Removable horizontal stabilizer allows fuselage to pack flat for transport
Shock mounted, removable landing gear
Precision Lasercut parts machined from hand selected AAA balsa and hardwoods
Carbon fiber and balsawood stock
Thourough computer drawn plan set and illustrated instruction manual
Cut vinyl - canopy graphics

I love your models. In 2015, I have built and flown your 1911 Caudron, and am currently finishing the build of your Shaft 400. I purchased your Fullhouse for my winter project and was surprised to find your logo ball cap in the box. THANKS! It’s...

I just got the Avro as the first of my model subscription plan. Really nice engineering!

I have built everything from the catapult launched ThunderChuck to the Pterodactyl and Frede 2X and in every case find the same commitment to quality, performance and customer satisfaction. Stevens provides the highest value for money, best mater...

I just built the BuzzBomb 400 and test flew it. Building it was really enjoyable because of the precisely cut parts and detailed instructions. The plane flew just as you said it would. It floats through the air with the greatest of ease and will b...

I completed the Baby Ace and went straight on to the 1911 Caudron. These have been the best kits I have ever built. Absolutely loving the builds. I took a leap of faith based on your feedback page and bought 4 kits. I am about to start the Fokker ...

I have been trading your (micro) kits to a young man (12 years old) for yard work. I think I've created a new model builder !!! He loves it. Another friend, who only flew 3/D worked together with me building your "Helium MG2" glider. We couldn...

Been building balsa kits for 68 years and your FredE and Sky Buggy are the greatest, most fun to build kits I have ever built.

I just finished putting toghter the se5.a. this was a very enjoyable kit, i've hardly ever had so much fun with anyother kit.

I decided to get back in the hobby after way too many years. Purchased a couple of small ARF “beginners” planes with poor results at best. Almost gave up, but was inspired by reading a copy of “Balsa Builder”. I built the Gym Ripper to learn the b...
