What about insurance? Have a look at your homeowners/renters insurance... I'll bet you will find exclusions in your coverage for flying models. In this litigious society that we live in you should be properly insured just in case you hurt something or someone (including yourself) while enjoying this fascinating hobby. We strongly suggest that you take advantage of insurance offered to you through membership in the AMA presently $58.00/yr. for the first adult in your family and as low as $1.00 for your children. In addition to providing proper coverage for your activities, membership in the AMA will let you fly at sanctioned events and chartered clubs. Membership in the AMA presently includes a monthly magazine that covers all aspects of model aviation. AMA APPLICATION (PDF)
